Probably should have read more of the info before parting with $9.99 as I subsequently found that this app will not play any of my Apple Music library whether it's Cloud or on my device. Even music that is stored on my device will not play despite what the pop up help says. Everything that can be played (apart from Apple Music) requires additional $$$$. I was probably overly anxious to get my two Homepod's working in stereo to read what the app could or couldn't do so that's my mistake. There are some samples that can play included in the app but that's not what I wanted. So unless you are happy with listening to obscure internet radio stations (which also require more money to work), you will not get Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify etc, etc. Shame as this app has potential but is severely limited.

It has a little bit of a learning curve. And it is not initially intuitive. But it is worth taking the time to learn.

I recently bought 6 HomePod for my house. I am very happy that this app works magnificent with all my HomePod. I can stream my music to all of the them simultaneously. Great app!! (Since Apple has not released AirPlay 2)

Have the app and spent additional $$ upgraded number speakers. But will not play DRM protected content (that you have already paid for). Partly Apple’s fault for being such grinches but this app should be able to ‘piggyback’ off Apple Music itself no?

Tried using this with 11.2 after update - it messed up selecting AirPlay devices to the point that I had to restart the device.

All I wanted was to play the same source from my iPhone or iPad to my marantz avr with airplay and whole house speakers powered by a different amp that uses an airplay dongle. This app allows this! No issues with audio sync if you have solid wifi. I have the Orbi so plenty of bandwidth. Only downside is that the music has to be on your device. I was streaming podcasts before, now I just download them. Thank you Whaale!!! I am a big fan now and will spread my joy... and no, I wasn't paid to say any of this!

App has its glitches. Volume controls don't always work and I have to reset my network or restart my speakers at times. I've added an AirPort Extreme and 2 Airport Expresses to help spread the signal more consistently through my house but it's not anymore stable then with the router my cable company provided.

This app does everything it says. Finally an app where I can stream music to all my airport extremes! Follow the directions .. very important! I wish this had the ability to play Spotify :( but I'm happy for now !

Playing to multiple speakers from you're phone is a joke. It cuts out constantly and audio is off in each room by nearly a second... I have a very strong wifi network, so I think its just really a limitation of the iPhone and the app itself/airplay. I went back to using Apple Remote and controlling iTunes...

Awesome! It delivers exactly as promised! I use Shairport4w on my computers all around the house and plug into various audio equipment to UNANIMOUSLY make all of the windows rattle!!! Love it!!!!

Spent $15 on app and extras before realizing it doesnt support any of my music from itunes due to DRM. This is completely worthless to me as that is 100% of my music. Why even have an iOS app? Concept is great and multiple airplay speakers does indeed work. Just have nothing to play that the app supports.

Does not work with Apple Music or Spotify. Waste of money.

I bought this app to use it with my iPhone but it doesn't support apple music!! I keep getting this two confusing messages: "Unfortunately music from Apple that is sotred on this device for offline listening cannot be played by WHAALE due to DRM protection." "iTunes Match/iCloud items that are not stored on this device cannot be played before they were downloaded to this device manually using the Music App (due to technical limitation by Apple)."

Unusable app. Music constantly cuts out or doesn't work to begin with. Constantly have to force quit and restart the app. Also there's a bug that causes it to show the volume box when you force quit and intermittently when it's running in the background. Seriously don't waste your time & money.

Only works with music stored on your device. Does not work with streaming sources such as Amazon Prime or music stored locally on a NAS. Tech support does not respond to questions. Save your money unless this limited functionality is what you are looking for.

Interface looks straight forward but it's very quirky and buggy. After so many updates, it's still the same.

It's got a steep learning curve but once it is achieved the app works really well. Love it!

I loved this app up until the latest updates. Now when I open the app on my iPhone 6, running iOS 8.4.1, it crashes. This could have been happening after the iOS 8.4 update and I just didn't notice, but regardless of functionality with the new Apple music, the app should run without crashing.

This app will NOT work with the new Apple music. The description was a little confusing, I was under the impression that as long as your music was on your phone available to play in offline mode it would work. It does NOT.

would be awesome if i could stream pandora or iheart but i doesn’t so it falls very short in my opinion to bad i was really hoping it would be a lot better too.

This app will only allow you to stream from within the app. This means you cannot stream to multiple speakers while using pandora or any other streaming service that this app cannot bill you for. $7 for nothing then i tried to purchase internet streaming and $1 in app for nothing again.

The app is unique in the way it works, but it is not without issues. First, the in app purchases are numerous and I would like one price for all extra features rather than needing several purchases to add each additional speaker, to add UPNP, to add internet radio, etc... Also, all of my AirPlay devices don't show on the screen. Finally, they need more streaming options. All that being said, it is the only way I have seen for multi-room audio without involving a computer in the mix.

Wish it didn't cut out when I switched over to FB, but still a killer app!

Does as advertised. My only wish is that it could integrate with other music apps such as Slacker.

I wanted a whole house wireless speaker system and was thinking of going with sonos. It would have cost over $4k. Two weeks ago I came across whaale and I can't say enough about this app. It has freed my music and saved me a lot of money. I have six wifi speakers throughout the house. Before whaale I could only control one speaker at a time with my iPhone. Now I can play whatever variations of speakers I want to at the same time. This app has turned my iPhone into a Stereo in my pocket! Also, I initially had an issue with one of my speakers cutting out and sent a request to the support group. They immediately responded with some good suggestions and it fixed the problem. I highly recommend this app.

Please do not waste your money this app does not work and the worse part it is that you don't get a refund.

Bought this with great anticipation and just turns out to be a crock! Have iPhone 6plus and AWESOME wifi NOT through an airport! It crashes. It DOES NOT WORK LIKE THE little video they make you watch. Crashes all the time, cant sync speakers and tells me I have invalid titles for just about EVERY SONG I OWN AND DOWNLOADED on my phone. Dont waste your money!!!

I have 6 AirPlay Bose speakers hooked up to this app and love it. Only wish it could hold 10 speakers and work with everything on my iPad. Bose tried to give me a link to a free app for their speakers but this one was so much easier. Thanks Whaale!

Great, totally fluid with strong network! Change songs per location and volume! Just needs to add support for any app sirius etc!

I immediately regret wasting 100 pennies on this garbage. The interface is terrible, and it doesn't support playing music through the ipad head phone plug.

Glitches in previous versions are gone! Using iOS 8.02 and airplay speakers are always present now. Slick interface to control volume of each device. Really creative and applied in a useful way. Isn't just flair. Devs are definitely intuitive on how apps should work and look.

Downloaded this app. Did have some connectivity issues at first, but then after some advice from their technical support staff it turned out to be hardware related as I was using an " knock off" airplay steamer that was not really a licensed product with the correct chipset from Apple. I now have 4 Airport Express's hooked up to various stereos throughout my home and this app works great with them. I love that I can stream local content from my phone or my music library from my NAS. Very nice to have a stand alone app that does not mirror from a PC or Mac that I would have to have running. Could use a little more polish, but all in all a very good app at a reasonable price with knowledgeable and helpful support.

Bizarre, confusing interface seems designed to confound you so you cannot realize that the application really has no abilities. Deleted the app after failing to get it to function in any sense. If it is possible to use this application to play to multiple airplay speakers, it's certainly well hidden.

Worked before the recent update, not sure what happened, but doesn't work now.

I'm using this app to play music simultaneously to the living room and to the speakers in the garden simply from my iPhone. I just wish it can support iTunes from my computer as the source media server. ;)

The app does what it says and is easy to set up. My only gripe is that the Internet radio streaming quality is dramatically inferior to using the stations' standalone apps, even though they're streaming from the same link. I bought this specifically to stream two stations throughout my apartment and haven't tested the app using my iTunes library (I use iTunes Match, which doesn't work with the app). If they can fix this issue, I'd easily give the Whaale more stars.
